THE NEXT TANGO CHALLENGE STARTS SATURDAY, 25TH
Is the Tango Challenge right for you?
Maybe you’ve always had tango on your bucket list.
Maybe you’ve taken a few classes, you love it, and now you want to push past the “beginner” phase.
This 12-week beginner course has trained hundreds of tango dancers in L.A. and around the world. Now enrolling its 40th class, the Challenge provides a complete introduction to social tango dancing, with a structured curriculum, plenty of class and practice time, a network of dancing partners, and lots of support along the way. You’ll become a seasoned, well-rounded tango dancer, ready to enjoy this beautiful and rewarding dance for the rest of your life. The Challenge meets twelve Saturday from 1-3pm at our main Inglewood location, starting January 25th. No partner or experience required. The program is capped at ten students, so reserve your spot today.
The flexibility
The Challenge group meets on Saturdays, but we’re open four days a week, so how deep you go is really up to you. Whether you want to check out a new teacher, practice for an hour after dinner, or just dance, you’ll have a ton of options, with locations in Inglewood and West L.A.
The personal attention
Twice a month you’ll have a 15-min private lesson with an Oxygen teacher. You’ll also be paired with a tango dancer with years of experience and meet together twice a month to learn the ropes at social events.
The friends
You won’t be doing this alone. You’ll go through the Challenge with a class of 6-10 other beginner dancers who are also tackling tango for the first time. You go to classes together, practice together, and go to your first tango events together.
The performance
The program culminates in a performance at the Graduation Ball, where you’ll show off your skills to your friends, and Challenge alumni.
The experiences
Tango is a language spoken all over the world. After these three months of immersion you’ll be able to go to any tango event, anywhere in the world, and join in right away, because you’ll know this language too.
The history
The Tango Challenge is proven to work over more than ten years. Challenge graduates have gone on to become world-class dancers, teachers, and nationally-renowned DJs. When you join the Challenge, you become a part of this tradition.
